This part of the site is for all those fans who are to soon visit the Den and need information before they arrive.
The Den is a multi-purpose stadium built for the start of the 1993/94 season. The capacity of the ground is 20, 146 and averages crowds of over 10, 000 (at time of writing, 13/02/2001).
The name "The Den" brings visiting fans to the conclusion that The Den is a stadium where you are likely to experience hooliganism. This could not be further from the truth. There is very, very rarely any trouble at The Den and visiting fans should experience an enjoyable day out.
Away fans are seated in the North Stand where there are just over 4, 000 seats. An allocation of around 2, 000 is usually made unless a large away following is expected.
The nearest train station is a 5-10 minute walk down Ilderton Road. There is no car park although street parking is widely available.
